Who Am I & Character Duel

Terms of use and play for Who Am I & Character Duel

Updated: 18 October 2026. These rules describe the current local app. Mandatory rights in your country remain unaffected.

1. Provider and age

Who Am I & Character Duel is provided by Dali AI GmbH, Wassergrabe 4, 6210 Sursee, Switzerland, CHE-410.112.306. Contact: kontakt@dali-ai.ch, +41 77 259 86 57. The app is intended for people aged 13 and over, not children under 13. If obligations still require your legal representative’s approval, that approval is required under applicable law. A store age rating does not replace it.

2. What Who Am I & Character Duel offers

Who Am I & Character Duel is for private groups in the same place who know each other and compare the security code. You select photos and connect devices using Google Nearby. The room code does not provide remote internet play. In Who am I?, the host distributes assigned cards; in Guess the Character, exactly two people receive the same board and select their secret character locally. Questions and guesses are spoken outside the app. There is no automatic judging or scoring.

You need suitable devices, wireless hardware, system permissions and, on Android, suitable Google Play services. Supported operating systems are listed in the relevant store. Use compatible, current app versions. We do not promise an error-free wireless connection or support for every future device; statutory defect remedies and update obligations remain unaffected.

3. Free allowance and current purchase availability

Five actually started free rounds per UTC calendar month apply jointly across both modes and host and guest roles. The counter is local to each app installation and resets on the first day of the UTC month. Preparation without an actual start does not count; a started round interrupted later may already count. Reconnecting does not count the same round again. Each participating device needs an available free-round allowance or Plus access verified on that device.

The free personal collection includes up to nine saved photos and five free avatars. Session contribution limits are separate. Plus is being prepared for unlimited rounds, more than nine collection photos, ten additional avatars and a personal profile photo. Paid sales are not currently enabled; this description is not a purchase offer or subscription agreement. If purchases are offered later, their scope, price, duration, renewal and your cancellation, withdrawal and refund rights must be clearly explained before purchase.

Existing valid entitlements are verified only through the relevant store. When they expire, existing collection photos and the private profile photo remain locally stored; restricted features cease to be available. A personal profile photo is no longer displayed or shared and can be removed by selecting a free avatar. Purchase entitlements and personal photo data are separate: restoring purchases cannot recover a lost collection. Switching between Apple and Google is not automatically included. Uninstalling or ending a session does not cancel a store subscription. On Android, activating Plus through a purchase or restoration is currently unavailable.

If a monthly subscription is offered later, each billing period is one month and renews automatically for another month until you cancel it in the relevant store. The total price payable, currency and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Cancellation generally prevents further renewals; access until the end of the paid period and any further statutory rights remain protected.

Any one-time purchase offered has no recurring payment. Verified access belongs to the store account used and can be restored on compatible devices linked to that account in the same store; it is not tied to one phone. This does not promise support for all future devices or other apps. Statutory rights relating to the purchased service remain intact.

Cancellation, statutory withdrawal and a refund request are different processes. Using the app or accepting its rules does not generally waive mandatory rights. Store purchases have their own management and refund routes: Apple https://support.apple.com/118223 and Google https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 . You may also contact us at kontakt@dali-ai.ch; existing rights are not limited to discretionary store refunds.

4. Your photos and other people’s rights

Only use images you are entitled to use and share in this group. Possessing a file does not prove those rights. Ask identifiable people first and respect anyone who does not want to be shown. Plus does not grant rights to other people’s images, names or characters.

No intimate, humiliating, discriminatory, violence-glorifying or unlawful content; no sexualized images of minors, threats or bullying. You retain your existing image rights and permit only the technical copies, transfers and displays needed for your chosen game use. We do not require an advertising or AI training licence.

5. Sharing and reporting problems

The host receives selected contributions. Depending on the mode, other players receive their card or the shared board; nicknames and profile images are visible in the session. During discovery, the host name, code and technical session identifier are visible nearby. Others can record visible screens. Who Am I & Character Duel cannot centrally recall other people’s offline copies or recordings.

You can remove your own available photos from the pool or leave the session; the host can remove people. Removing a pool photo does not delete the collection. Report harmful content or misconduct to kontakt@dali-ai.ch, even if you are not a player. Describe the problem without private image attachments where possible; do not send intimate or unlawful images. We review reports and explain possible steps. We cannot promise centralized inspection or remote deletion on every other device.

You can block other players locally and later unblock them. As host, this ends an ongoing round and removes the device; as a guest, you leave the group. The block applies to recognised devices, not a verified person. Older apps may only support blocking within the same session. Reinstallation or another device can bypass it. Shared copies and recordings cannot be centrally recalled.

6. Collection, cropping and deletion

Importing directly into the collection or choosing “Save to collection” creates a permanent encrypted app copy. Lobby contributions initially remain session copies. The app keeps a normalized full-image copy locally for crop adjustments. Only the rendered game copy is shared. Editing a collection image does not change copies already selected or shared; cropping a pool photo does not change your collection.

Ending a session clears local game copies; the collection, profile and round register remain. Delete collection photos individually and replace your personal profile photo with a comic avatar. Your originals and other people’s copies are unaffected. Who Am I & Character Duel has no cloud storage for your collection. Uninstallation, device loss or missing keys can cause loss of local photos; statutory claims for defects remain unaffected. See the privacy notice for details.

7. Statutory rights, changes and disputes

Statutory liability and warranty rules apply. Mandatory claims, particularly for intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health, are not excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights, including applicable defect remedies, updates, withdrawal and refunds, remain unaffected.

You can stop using the app at any time. Material new paid services or contractual changes are not agreed merely by continued use. Any required consent must be obtained before the change takes effect. These rules impose neither exclusive jurisdiction in Sursee nor a blanket worldwide choice of Swiss law. Applicable law and jurisdiction follow statutory rules. On iOS, an applicable Apple standard EULA remains a licensing basis insofar as compatible with mandatory law.
